throttle body - does yours have a hole?
if you've purchased an aftermarket throttle body, is there a small hole drilled into the throttle blade?
also
did your stock tb have the same hole?
i'm especially interested in hearing from members in california becuase the emissions laws out here are stricter than other places.
edit: but that doesn't mean don't answer, i'd like to know as i'm told all aftermarket tb have a small hole drilled into them.

Aftermarket TB's dont have the hole in it just the stock one does. Its there so you dont get vacum lock. The after market one you just have to adjust the stop screw so it wont lock. It has nothing to do with emmisions.

that makes sense, but i have my stock piece which does not have the hole and a ported stock piece that i just purchased (ebay) which does have it. when i installed the ported tb the car never learned its idle points. i adjusted the tps, double checked every connection and gasket, cleaned out an otherwise totally functional iac and the car just never learned to ramp the rpm's down, unless i came to a dead stop and only a couple seconds after. it would just hang at 1500 rpm whenever coasting down to a stop. or what was really annoying was that if you were on a level road, coasting, somtimes instead of turning off the gas to the engine and allowing the car to coast, the computer tried to keep the engine at 1500rpm as if you were giving it a little gas.
then i put the stock tb back in, verified the tps settings and within 10 miles of driving it was normal again. the only thing i didn't try was put my tps sensor on the tb i bought, i just used one provided on it, but they both read basically the same, <.99 v at idle and >4.5 v at wot.
