Default SOHC to a DOHC

ok i got a 04 gt and the only reason i didnt get a cobra is the fact that im 22 live in NJ (at the time) and have 2 tickets (speeding) and 2 accidents (both with my 00 v6 stang and none my fault) i just got an insurance quote from AIG a few days ago and awhile back from gieco (AIG 8100 and Geico a whooping and im not sh!tin u 18k a year!!!!!!!!!!!!) ok now here is my question at u take a 04 gt and change the SOHC to a DOHC and if so how and how much would it run???i think ive seen them do it to a acura but theres a difference.

They say it can be done but it isnt worth the amount of money you would have to put into it to get it done. That would be an EXPENSIVE upgrade!!!

yeah know that a think about it would a crate engine or a cobra engine be cheaper

yeap, it would.

By the time you figure in four cams... $2000

The heads... $1500

All new valves... $1000

and much more to add you are looking at a really big bill to convert a 2v to a 4v.

There is one on there today, 96-98 that is at like $2500 right now, motor and tranny.

thats expensive, ive seen them go for 1500 with tranny, harness, ecu, motor, and all accesories

Yeah, I've seen them that cheap too, just one of the currents is 2500. Be patient and a good deal will come.
