Wow, now that's power. But yeah, I wonder what the weight would be on it. Certainly enough to lose a bit of it's punch I'd bet. I can see someone trying to put one of these in a Mustang as a swap and it having enough weight in the front and torque to spin the tires for as long as you wanted.

Im sorry I missed where you said if this mammoth is goin to be Pump gas or Diesel?

Oh yeah ben790450: Ur OBESSED WITH CAT!!!
They make a pump gas version and a hydrogen version. Could you imagine what that baby would do on 101 race fuel.

Yeah straitwangin in in love with Kat. So what shes really hot haha

one of the downsides to using the v10 though would be finding the perfect exhaust. you wouldn't get that same rumbly, rough and tough tone like the v8. you get a smoother, more refined sound. to my knowledge there is no silver bullet when choosing an exhaust either. i kno from experience because it was tough finding something good for my old 99 F-350 that had the same v10 engine but w/out the sc. in the end i just put on a flowmaster cause i was tired of looking for something and i didn't have the budget to experiment. it sounded ok but nothing like my 4.6. unlike the 4.6 v8 you cant just put on some flows and expect a good sound.

Terrible idea; you could get someone like VT or MMR to build you a engine that would make a shat-ton of more power for the price.

how much power are those engines making?? i heard it was around 300??? which is nothing for a s/c 6.8
I saw an article on it. It's for bus motors, they are making less than 300hp and not a lot of torque either. I was all excited until I read the article...

EDIT: it's hydrogen too[:'(]

I have a couple of articles that if someone would email me I could sent to them so they could post as I have webTV and cannot do that. Ford has been putting V10's into mustangs for a while now playing around after work. They have 2 versions, a 351c.i. and a 390c.i. with the latter making 605HP and 525lbs/ft. of torque I believe and handling matches the Iron 4.6 we are driving now due to the aluminum block and some other tricks. Anyone willing to post them for us to read? email marksweet@webtv.net and I will forward them to you for posting. thanks, mark

they also have the sc v10 in the superchief concept http://media.ford.com/newsroom/relea...?release=22295 this one is flex fuel - e85, gas, or hydrogen

the current triton v10 (n/a) is making 362 hp and 457 ft-lb of torque http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Modular_engine

I still need help posting a couple of articles concerning V10 Mustangs. It seems the guys at Ford are spending weekends doing some interesting work on our beloved Stangs! I have webTV so would have to send the articles to you who would then post them here for all to see. It would be seeply apprecited by many who have ever dreamed of a V10 Muastang to compete with some of the more exotic vehicles on the interstates! my email is: marksweet@webtv.net
