shaker system..

RE: shaker system..
I was thinking the same thing, but think about it this way. the Shaker system is about over 900$ after Taxes and shipping. that's not including all of the minor things you may need to do to make it fit on your GT hood. the horsepower gain from what I hear is very minimal and the shaker itself is pretty much only for looks. If you got a decent engine and willing to bust out a little more $$ I would think about a small PSI blower for around 2,000. it may be double the price but it'll actually give you a decent boost in horsepower.
If your like me though, I may just buy it for the looks alone, mainly because my 2000 GT got it's scoop stolen (figure that one out).

Yea... it would only be best just for looks. I would say if your already at the end of your 'go fast' mod list, then that maybe something to look into. But yea, SC is deffinetly your bang for your buck, or nitrous... whatever your personal preference is.

The thing is, it doesnt look good with a stock hood, you need a mach 1 hood with it to make it look the best... and there you got $300 for a new hood, and another 2-3 hundred for paint... just an expensive project...

yup, a blower would do your car far more justice. as for my scoop being stolen, trust me, i'm still pissed haha. My hood looks like a 99 gt/v6 hood but it has 2 big holes in it and two screws sticking out at 45 degree angles on each side. it looks pretty bad when you see it up close. i got qouted for 200 bucks for a replacement+paint.. ouch [:'(]

The link at the top is the CDC kit, which can be bought at americanmuscle.com as well, for the same price(but we get a discount at americanmuscle.com). It uses your stock GT hood and comes with everything to make it work. You have to cut your hood, and your air box, and it's not as bad as it sounds. Anyway, I have $1200-$1300 in my setup. Ford Mach 1 Hood, and the shaker kit from www.karkraft.com. Here's a couple pics of it:
