This link was taken from another post on this site. I have always heard great things about Lucas Oil stabilizer and even added it to my mobil 1 synthetic after my last oil change, but after seeing this I am having second thoughts. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

That was a good post... ive always maintained that additives are not necessary in a healthy engine... and additives wont fix an unhealthy engine... save the money... IMO...

So do you think I am causing any damage to my motor because I have the lucas oil stabilizer in it or am I just wasting my money and causing no gain/benefit?

It seems like lucas products are snake oil but I am confused why they are sanctioned by the NHRA. Why would they sacntion and use such an apparently bad/damaging product?

Just seems odd that they would make a product which they knew caused damage.
