Mt friend has a 1995 subaru legacy wagon auto trans with a 130k miles on it . He wants to swap a wrx engine into it. Becasue it will be cheaper he claims it will cost under 3 g's You think this would be a good idea or a a total waste of time.

It's a wagon. Scrap it and buy something fast to begin with.

lol my familys 3rd car is a subaru legacy GT wagon its so freakin slow. i drive it a few times a week to school to keep the miles off my stang. the thing has a half rusted exhaust that also has some leaks, its funny to go through my schools parking garage and rev the engine. i'll tell ya what tho, i actualy had to try to get the thing sideways in 3in of snow it didnt want to break loose. i had to put it in 1st (auto) and give it a good 4-5k's and rip the wheel sideways.
