2003 Mach 1 info...
There is an 03 Mach 1 for sale with 22K miles...$18,000
I was looking for an 03/04 cobra, but since I cannot find one for sale relatively close, I've been comtemplating buying this Mach 1--only problem is I don't know much about them
I know there better than Mustang GTs but below Cobras...
What times does it run?
You think 18Gs is a good deal?

$18,000 for a Mach1 with 22k on the odometer is a pretty good deal. They run anywhere from 13.3 with a great driver to about 13.5 or so with an avg driver. They are really good cars and respond to mods very well because they have a 4v v8, unlike the GT's 2v. There are plenty of guys with exhaust, intake, DR's and tune that have ran in the 12's with ease. Pick it up if you want, its a great car.

Mach1s respond VERY well to nitrous. Most guys that run nitrous are in the 11s. They're also a lot of guys in low 12s and high 11s making around 330whp. Just build up the axle, and throw on some sticky tires, and you could post up 60" times of 1.5seconds. The site I frequent a ton has a guy running 11.5 N/A with 1.4sec 60' times.

By the way, Mach1s have different heads from the 99/01 cobra, and aren't as suspect to spinning a baring.

I love the Mach, 18k is a good price for 22k miles, as they have stated above the Mach's do respond well to mods(very few mods needed for 12's)and they they repond well to Nitrous(wouldnt suggets over 125 shot).
The one poster above is correct about boosting them though, the internals are not that great for boost over 8-10 lbs. BOOM

good price, ok car, my buddies 04 has 14k on it and already he has had, tranny rebuilt cause of synchros, rear end t-lok replaced, and 2 sets of goodyear 245 series tires, obvioulsy he drives it rough

By the way, make sure the tranny is in good working order, and run an Oasis report. It seems that 1/4 of the trannies are bad, and repeatedly go in the shop for synchros. The Oasis report will tell you of all warranty work done, and could save you money in the long run.
Usually you can tell if the tranny is acting up just by driving the car. Just be careful.

Standard or Auto? The standards came with forged cranks, the autos did not. I have a friend who has run well into the 11's with a midly built rearend, slicks and a 100 shot. I know I would take a Mach 1 over a Cobra, and that price is a really good deal!
