srt-4 and LS1 off the line the LS1 has no chance... but in the dig it will.. the only way i can see that happen is if a GT and SRT-4 raced for a mile, then maybe the GT will slowly catch and pass but who the hell is gonna race for a mile? specially in where i live cali.

ummm first off a SRT-4 Will not beat a LS1, please, and by the way a mustang GT vs an srt-4 is a drivers race.

There is no chance, no matter what the configuration of the cars (even a vert/2.73/auto LS1) that a stock SRT-4 has anything for a LS1, off the line or from a roll. Your talking about a low 13 second car with a much higher trap racing a very very high 13/low 14 second car with a lower trap. There is simply no argument here. There isn't a single SRT-4 board where you can go, ask this question, and get the response that the SRT-4 will come out ahead. Most SRT-4 owners will also admit a stock 99-04 5spd GT coupe will run very close to them (drivers race)
Nobody is making you famous for anything but being a retard.
88stanger: You will make between 260 and 280 WHP on the dyno at mustang muscle in st louis with a full boltons GT, more like 260 WHP. With my cams and their tune (junk) I made 280 WHP (everything in the sig minus the TKO and blower).
The real problem is getting a good tune in st louis for a 4.6L. I have heard good things about MCP but I have not had personal experence with them tuning wise.
A stock LS1 vs a full boltons GT is a drivers race from a stop, and the LS1 will win from a roll 99.99 percent of the time. With full boltons/cams I was able to put my buddies auto away fairly well though, espcially from a stop.
Edit; I was in need of a tune with full boltons, but the car was running fine. It would have picked up a few RWHP with a tune (10 maybe?) but not much more.

RE: Need a tune?
GOOD INFO! Hrmmm, was that A/F within a "safe" range with full bolt-ons? Running a tad rich I presume?
Yeah, 260whp and If I had a GT with the 8.8, yo ubet your *** I would roll on ET streets 24/7.

RE: Need a tune?
The a/f was totally safe, just rich. I was making I think 255 or so RWHP on their 248c at MM without a tune. I am thinking the a/f was at like 12.4:1

Keep in mind he has 2.73 rear gears and an auto (coupe). Against a 6spd car with the steeper gear I was able to win from a stop, but from a roll I had a hard time keeping them close.
Hell, with his car, from the right roll speed we are side by side if I didn't hit my shifts correctly (thats what happened in the real close race). Usually from a roll I could walk away from him fairly well, but if I short shifted a gear or two he was right there...
If you have the money for a LS1, and you don't want to go much past boltons, there is no doubt the LS1 is the way to go. 390+ whp with boltons and a good cam, what more can you ask for?
