Default Sportlines+17x10.5+315/35= Oh no

I just got my 17x10.5 fr500's put on with 315/35 Nitto 555r's. I also am lowered 2" with sportlines.

So yesterday I take it out for a cruise and I'm on the highway. I'm doing about 65 and I punch it up to 90. When I slow down I hear a flapping sound. I pull over and look at my rear tires and they have both been shaved on the outside corners. The rubber is still hanging on in places, hence the flapping. The cuts are about a quarter inch deep but less than a millimeter thick.

I went back to the tire place and had the owner look at it. He said my car must have been squatting like a SOB when I get on it because I still have about 3 inches of clearance between my finder and the rubber. He said they are still safe to drive on. They of course don't warranty Nittos so I'm stuck with them unless I want to shell out money to buy new ones just to have the same thing happen again.

So what should I do to fix this?

definately roll the fenders, i did it on a buddy of mines mazda 6, and all you really need is a rubber mallot and some paitence. or if your control arms are adjustable, just crank them up a bit

Yeah you will have to roll the fenders so that they dont cut into them. The biggest you can go is about a 295 or 305 if your running pro kit and you have sportlines so it is even worse with 315

same thing happened to me backing outta my driveway, teh fender would just slice the edges of teh nittos. I did the rubber mallet pound the fender lip thingy. I plan on going wider next time so will have to re-do them. I have 305 35 18s right now, want to go 315 30 18s. i also have the eibach pro kit and upr and lwr ca's.
