what year stang does he have? well we all know that 99+ stangs like the higher gear compared to 5.0 but if he drives 50 miles a day at or above 70 i would personally get 3:73 over 4:10 i just wouldnt like my car reving so high for so long. but 4:10 i would definatly get for best drag performance.

I'd go with 4.10's. Whoever told you that about a stock motor and 4.10's not mixing well..hahah I wouldn't buy anything from them after hearing that.

ORIGINAL: OUZBnd

Im doing a gear upgrade, i drive 50 miles a day at 70 mph. To any of you guys who have 4.10's, what rpms are you running at this speed? 3.73's, same Q.

did 4.10's hurt your milage much?

I cant wait to get these things order and put in. Thanks to Dan02GT and a couple other people im leaning toward 4.10's, but i'd love to get some others input. (mainly im concerned with the rpms at 70mph with 4.10's)

Thanks!
70 mph in my '02 GT with 4.10's puts me at 2400 rpm in 5th gear.

PS - in my opinion, anything short of 4.10's isn't worth the time or money to change them, seriously. 4.10's isn't that big of a difference compared to the 3.27's, not like some people will have you to think.

Ahhhhhh If I could only drive 70mph[:@]
90mph, 265 miles one way, every other weekend. Guess it's 3.73's for me
