Default Hp gain from LT's

Okay, LT's are a bitch to install and I am thinking not worth it. How much do you really gain from them?

you can get a good 10-15 rwhp from em.
Full exhaust LT, Midpipe, Catback can get you 20-25rwhp which is decent for a mustang... but how can you justify spending $1200 for only 25rwhp?

If LT's are 10-15 whp, I will just get Steeda UD pullies, CAI and C&L plenum instead. THat will be worth 15whp at least. MUCH EASIER! and (Cheaper) to install! Also I will be able to replace the clutch some fine day...

the peak hp from LTs is not where you'll see the true benefit from them...they help hp/torque throughout the rpms...they decrease 1/4 times!

LT's -OR- CAI/C&L plenum/UD pullies

Which would give me the most?

Lts hands down.

Not to mention the better sound, and the way the LTs will pick up more and more with each mod. The intake boltons are really not that essiential to a 99-04 GT until you start getting into heavyer modding.

Stanger88, I will sell ya a C&L filter/maf/intlet combo for say 100 bucks and shipping if you decide to get a 99 or 00 car.

whats all this dyno-testing stuff where C&L plenums gain 8-12 whp on a stock car? I know the CAI is worth like 2-4 whp, but mainly it sounds good.

regardless, the LTs hands down will make more power alone, and overall, than a set of U/d pulleys and a intake bolton.

LTs are definatly not a project I would want to do alone on a driveway, but if you have a friend, and you can get the car up in the air enough to really work under there ...

Are shorties easier to do? I will not be camming, so shorties vs. LT's wont hurt me that bad.
