Default o/r & catted x pipe???

Ok i was wondering how much trouble it is to install a midpipe. I am thinking about buying an O/R x pipe and then just putting the stock exhaust back on everytime emmissions come back around. Suggestions??
Is there a way to like weld cat covers over an O/R so that it will pass the visual test?
Thanks
~Garrett

Installing a mid pipe isnt hard. Doing it by myself it only took me about 2 1/2 hours. If we ever goes to visual inspections, ill just bolt my stock pipe back in, with a friend it should only take about an hour.

Basically you just unbolt the old one, and bolt in the new one. The bolts on the passenger side manifold are a pain to get off, but thats about the only hard part about it.

If you want a full write up of how to do it give me a PM.

thats ok im sure that between my dad and i we could figure it out...this brings me to my next question...how much do you really gain with an O/R x pipe over a catted one? Sound difference? Any opinions on what sounds better with flows?

NVM i searched and found some good posts
