quick emmisions advice
im about to go look @ a mustang 00 with like 60 miles on it...carfax says it failed one emmisions test but then it past like 3 after that...is that something to be majorly conserned about? couldnt it have failed because if it has an aftermarket exhaust...te o2s were exposed when it was put on so it failed cuz of that? if so then thats cool cuz its obviously been fixed, right? but if its stock exhaust its a bad thing...ehh what do you guys think?

RE: quick emmisions advice
A 2000 mustang with only 60miles on it[&:]
it probably has an o/r h/x pipe on it to make it fail. if that is the case, he didnt get mils or a tuner, and the people doing the emissions either looked under his car and saw no cats, saw the CEL, or the computer told them he had no cats. If he has the stock pipe, then something is wrong. there would be no reason to just disconnect the 02 sensors

RE: quick emmisions advice
take it to emissions...not sure where you are at but I have done just that here in arizona before buying a car to ensure it would pass. Showed them the registration (for the then owner), paid the 10 or so bucks it was then and looked at the results.......they could care less if it was due or not so long as I paid the fee........
if the 60 miles is legit...probably failed for not having been started at least once a New Year's
