Your easiest way to beat a REAL Type R(They are rare in the US but I will take your word as there is one running around my area too.) is to spray a 100 shot on the car. You will not do that for 200 bucks though. For 200 buxs, your best bet is gears but even then I dont really see you running away w/ this one. You will need some more mods to run w/ the Type R. Good luck and happy modding.

Going fast costs ALOT of money... Just take the defeat like a man and save your money for something wiser.

yea i hate to say it bro but being a vert doesnt help with weight as was already said, and you def. need to do a PI swap and a stall converter along with some steeper gears as was also already said. all in all...96-98 were just horrible years for the v8 mustang. the cheapest way to win the next race is, next time he has his hood up unplug a few of his plug wires when hes not looking then smoke him and NEVER race him again.

Weight definitely makes a difference!.. And you already have a convertible.. that's just piling more weight on top of an already heavy load. For $200 you won't be able to get him.. you'll need a little more than that. That PI swap is a good mod to consider. I don't think it's too expensive but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone wanna clarify that for me..
