What's wrong with 'er?
I've got a problem. When I start my car sometimes I have to give it gas or it wont start. There was a previous post about the Idle Air Controller causing a problem where the car would actually die. I think this problem may be my IAC but mine has yet to die on me. although sometimes immediately after it's started it'll idle so low that it feels like it's about to It hasn't left me stranded or anything yet but i'm afraid it just might sometime soon. I need to get this fixed before it gets worse.
Another problem (may be related to problem above, may not be) is sometimes when i shift my car into drive it'll rev up without me even pressing on the accelerater. Kinda freaks me out actually. Like my car has a mind of its own. Maybe she's just telling me "c'mon buddy lets rock!" lol. Anyways, just curious what this could be.

Sounds like you need to hook it up to an OBDII code reader.
This may tell you why these things are happening.

I was gonna ask if your check engine light was on. Definitly get it scanned, there are some codes that wont throw the light, but will get stored in the ECU's memory.

Could be IAC. Also could be your O2 sensors. I had a similar problem, although mine never revved high on its own. Mine did rev low (below 500 rpm) and almost died, then i swapped out the front O2 sensors and it hasn't done that since.

Mine didnt show a check engine light, either. IMO it isn't the IAC. But if you wanted to see if it is the IAC, take it off, and clean it out with some carb cleaner. That would temporarily fix the IAC if it has issues. If it still revs low, then it probably isn't that.

I agree with this. If its not throwing codes, you should check those two things. And if that doesn't work, run some sea foam and clean the injectors.
