I got my 3.73 installed the other day in my 96 GT Auto and I'm very pleased with them. I've come to the point where I'm trying to weigh out a couple different options for this winter while it will be garaged and would just like some input from fellow stang owners. To give you an idea of what I'm looking to accomplish = ????Low 14's/High 13's?????? Pretty much stock execpt for the 3.73's and crack jack box CAI that was fabbed up @ work. (I'm guessin I would run a ??15.1-15.0?? as she sits)

1)High Stall Tq Converter - I'm not real knowledgeable about these and was wondering what type gains I would be lookin @ in the 1/4?????....How much for an install?(I'm guessing this isnt' something that a mid to above average do-it yourself would want to attack)

2)Since I'm gettin high in miles(105k) I've been keepin an eye open for a 2V 4.6 out of a 99+. This would take care of the PI side of life that i've been missing out on. I've also been seeing a lot of 99+ Crown Vics that had old folks smashin them up....Would this be something that i should be looking into or is this a totally different animal???

3)Open to options from members that have experience in what they are suggesting.

You can go the crown vic way but it would be ideal to find a mustang. The crown vic has a different intake and cam. It would just be easier to go for a mustang. My advice on the stall is if it is a DD or driven often on the street I wouldn't go to high on the stall. Another thing if you really want to make any power with these 2v like some other threads going right now say you have to go boost or juice. That might be something you want to look into.
