I know a friend that has an 06 colbot ss, they run stock 15#s boost, he reduced his to 12, and he still ran much faster that I did. I ran an 11.8 1000' and he ran a 10.9 1000. I have 373's his is stock besides his boost. But whatever, everyone here is an expert.
is that like an 1/8 mile

You have a basically stock SN95 GT. Aka you probably dont even have 200 rwhp. The original poster has around 250rwhp. Thats a big diff. buddy. Maybe you should learn to read.

Also stock they run 12 psi not 15. Why would anyone go down in boost? You lose power. But I guess you are the expert right?

bro, no offense, but i don't htink you have a chance right now. especially if he up'd his boost to 16 pounds. first of all you need gears. that's the first step. then you need some suspention and rubber to hook VERY well. then it'll be closer but you still will lose.
i'm not saying these cars are super man, but they are very quick. they're big flaw is the FWD and when they get a bunch of power, they have problems hooking especially at the track. if your buddy just got the car, i doubt he can drive it well enough and i doubt he knows the car well enough to eliminate all the problems with tracktion he's going to have so that is where you need to be perfect

Assuming you have the mods you say you do, you will win if you get traction.

What?? No way. Youll be seeing tailights once you get over 60 if he is competant at all.
He should have 260 or so rwhp. A cobalt is FWD aka cant get traction worth a ****. That cobalt will barely make it into the 13s. I doubt hes a great driver so Im going to say the cobalt will pull a 14 flat. His GT is capable of at least a 13.6.

Like I said, he should win if he can get traction aka a good 60'.

This is all at a track, none of that streetracing from a roll bull ****.

I have a video of a STOCK cobalt trapping faster than me. When I had full exhaust and other crap done. I still one the race I had drag radials on. The pulley swap in a cobal is pretty much equivalent to doing every single bolt on our GT's.

At 20 psi, they usually run ~13.5. This can be better or worse depending on the 60'. He's running 16 psi. He wont be as fast. If the original poster can drive, he will win.

No point in bench racing anymore. Go do it and tell us about it.

It's interesting you ask this question as I raced a s/c cobalt ss the other day. From a dead stop at a light I smoked him. By the time I was up to 70mph I had pulled 4 car lenghts on him. When I backed off, he pulled along side and told me he couldn't believe how fast my stang was. I know he was pushing the gears hard on his car because he chirped in second and I could see nose lift and and dive as he shifted. I will say that those things are pretty danged quick. I was suprised at how fast he accelerated past me prior to the race from a prior light. This is what precepitated the stop light race at the second light. I think the key to the win is the FRPP 4.10 gears. You get those and it will help out alot. Plus it's in the driver. I grew up on old Hurst shifted GTO's and Trans Am's with external linkage muncie's and Super T-10 4 spds that allow "speed shifting" or "power shifting". Sometimes, when the adrenaline gets to me I tend to power shift my stang. I know it's not good for it, but I can't help it. I guess when the TR3650 finally upchunks I'll swap in a 6spd. I would guess, just a guess. that I'm pushing 260-265 at the wheels. Can't wait to get NOS and se what this bad boy will do then.

So to actually answer your question, I don't think so not with out gears and further mods. I don't have much experience with the SN-95's but everything I hear and read says that it takes alot of work to get them to perform. Alot more than the newer stangs. Good luck though, I hope it pushes you to go all out and beat him at all costs. There's just something wrong about a V8 getting beat by a 4 banger, even if it has a blower.

I currently have:
JLT RAI
Accufab 75mm tb/plenum
Steeda UDP
Mac cat back exhaust
SCT Xcalibrator 2
FRPP 4.10
Royal purple fluids
275/40R17 Kumho's

working on getting:
SLP modular catted X pipe
short throw shifter
Nitrous Express wet kit w/ 100 shot nozzle
SLP long tube headers
VT cams
Patriot stage 2 heads
forged internals
