Default Gears on a supercharged car?

Ok from what I have read on this forum you should go with 3.73 gears if you supercharge your car and 4.10s if its left n/a. From what I understand you do this because you will get better traction with the 3.73 on a supercharged car which has more power than a n/a (except codes) lol. So here is the thing. I am getting read to get gears and a sct xcal 2 tuner, but I really dont know if I will ever supercharge my car. I dont wanna get the 3.73 and be left wanting more if I remain n/a, but I dont wanna get 4.10s and someday supercharge and not get any traction. Any insight and help would be great.

I had a hard time deciding too so i just went with 3.90s. They seem to be the best compromise. My car is currently in the shop getting built and the supercharger installed.

Everyone always argues with me over gears... supercharged or NA i hate 4.10's.

However, with my ****ty tune of 360rwhp thats being fixed tomorrow; i can still light the nitto 555r's up at 45-50. Wouldnt want gears unless it was running slicks with a built rear.

If you decide to go with 4.10's and get supercharged later down the road you can always run a taller tire(slick) at the track...ie; regular size slick is 26"..you can go with a 28" tall slick and that will be the same as swapping gears. On the street the 4.10's will be ok.

I am curious how much power the stock trac lock can safely handle. I mean I dont wanna pay somebody to install the gears and then have the rear end crap out on me and then pay some more $ to install a new locker, lsd. For sake of argument lets say someday I have 280-300 rwhp, will the stock trac lock hold or should I bite the bullet and replace it with an auburn or something while they have the rear end open installing the gear?
