Default 3 73's or 410s

i see everyone here saying 4 10's are good for autos and 3 73's are good for 5 speed, but why is that tho?

cause they are wrong, 4.10s are good for all with the exception of the t3650 tranny, then you need to look at 4.30s

Its true i have 410s w/ t3650 and im sad i didnt listen to Dan04Cobra... i mean 410s are fun... but i wish i had 430s.

My Guess... No Proof to back this up This is just my guess.


3.73 Gears
T3650 - 1-3mpg
T45 2-4mpg

4.10 Gears
T3650 2-4mpg
T45 3-5mpg

4.30 Gears
T3650 3-5mpg
T45 4-6mpg

If I had the oppurtunity to re-do my gearing, I think i'd go 4.30's just cause it'd be fun

I like 4.10's, but can you EVER have too much? (okay, litterally, yes, you can, but you konw, more the merrier)

Yea I got an 04 GT auto. I thought about gears sooner or later but dont know which ones to get.

Now how much of a benefit is the 4.30's over the 3.73's?
