i have a 98 GT, what tranny do i have? also, is it the same as the 99-04 GT's?? whats the tremic 3650, and what is the difference between the t-5 and t-45?
alright, so i have a T-45 then, because i have a 98. What is the t-5 though? If you look at shifters, alot of companies sell the same one for T-45's and T-5's.
i thought the 5.0s had the T-5 but what do i know....a friend of mine just did a manual conversion from an auto on his 66 and i think they bought a T-5 off of a 5.0
T-5's were used in the older fox bodied 5.0 cars, as well as the sn-95 6 cylenders.... the reason that the shifter is for both is, is that they use the same shifter assembly. Therefore, they will work for either car.

Alright, i understand now. But why did they put the T-5's in the v6's? I know a guy who beats the crap out of his fox body, and he is extremely hard on his transmission, but so far its been bullet proof. So why would they put something that strong with a V6, and put a weak transmission in the newer 4.6's?
