Does anyone know how many inches the stock intake tube is on a 2001 Cobra? The reason that I ask is because I noticed that the stock intake is already pretty big, so I bought just the K&N filter, after I purchased the filter, I saw an intake that had a 4" tube, so I was wondering if the stock one is 4" or what size, cause I pretty sure that bigger the tube, the more air = more HP.

That's true to a point, but only if you are looking at like a 1" compared to a 4". Once it gets opened up so far, it hits a wall. The engine can only suck in so much air. Anything over that is overkill.

So I will be ok getting just the K&N Filter and using the stock 01 cobra intake tube? I will pretty much get the same amount of HP
(4-5HP) using the stock tube and K&N filter...but I also plan on getting exhaust, pulley's, programmer, will I still get the same effect?

Yea it will pretty much be the same. A CAI on a 4.6 doesnt do much, unless you are an 03/04 Cobra.

I dont know man. Dont listen to Matt he likes to have sex with other men in his spare time so i wouldnt trust him if were you. hahah jk but yeah an intake on a n/a stang is just for looks and sound. DOesnt give you enough power to do anything.
