I have way less than $3500 in mods. Besides you won't get much of a blower for $3500 I would expect a response like this from someone tearing up the track with those 14sec. E.T.'s

UUhhh... yeah. Why waste all that money when you can invest $3500 on a blower and dust them off reguardless!?!? And no suspension work needed.

Here's list of mods that will take care of most LS-1's.

Engine:
Apten/Modular Depot Performance Tune (SCT Flasher)
Steeda Pullies
K&N w/ no airbox and right headlight pulled at track
Denscharger MAF to TB only
MAC o/r x-pipe
Welded in Flowmaster 40's mufflers

Drivetrain:
FRPP 4.10's
UPR shifter
King Cobra clutch
Axle tubes welded
FRPP 31 spline T-Lock
Moser Axles

Suspension:
Fox-body 4cyl springs (cut) up front w/ Lakewood 90/10 struts
Fox-body V8 springs (cut) w/ Monroe Sensi-tracs out back
Airbag in RR spring
No front swaybar
UPR sub-frame connectors
Steeda 4600 Lower Control Arms
Torque boxes welded
No quad shocks

Wheels/tires
Front - 165x15 Pep Boys on 15x4 Telstars
Rear - 275x50x15 BFG DR's on 15x8 Telstars

Launch @ 5000 and power-shift @ 6000

Best 1/4 12.89@104
Best 1/8 8.18@85 and 7.59@93 with a NX 100 shot
Best 60" 1.71

It doesn't beat em all but I have my way with most street diven LS-1's

Jay
From what I am seeing here you are claiming to only be running the 100 shot on the 1/8TH? Please tell me you are joking about these mods and a 12.8x with no N20.

Jdaniel, your running 14s with that setup? Full boltons and you had better be seeing low 13s.

BTW back on track, full boltons with headers will take down an LS1 (with a good set of sticky tires). With a terrible launch I was basically not getting pulled on by a ws6 to the top of 3rd gear. The second race with the tires heated up was embarrasing enough for him to "miss third" _

I have yet to run the N2O at the 1/4 mile. My car will run 12.90's all day long on the motor in decent weather. I expect to be in the 11's in the 1/4 with the N2O. I should be at Bowling Geen Ky. for Corral Day on August 14th if anybody wants to see it.

Hey, Jay... before you speak, please know what you're talking about first. My corrected times are about 13.4 to 13.8. When I run its usually about 95 degrees outside with 100% humidity and lets not mention the shape the track is in.

Happy now, buddy?

I have ran an uncorrected time of 13.8 and I usually NEVER run anything over a 14.3

EDIT: And if that list of stuff is less than $3500 then you obvisously must be driving a Fox body and if so then of course you dont because the parts are DIRT CHEAP! Not like todays mustang where you have to pay $600 for a set of cams.

And YES! You can get a good KB twinscrew for $3500 to $4000 installed by yourself of course.

For $3400 I can buy a vortech tuner kit, Lightining mass air meter, 255# fuel pump, 42# injectors, install it myself and pay for a $500 dyno tune.

hrmmm.... I would expect a response like this from someone who doesn't know what their talking about.

Or, just get a big enough shot of nitrous so when your engine blows pistons and crap hits him too.
