When i stomp on the throttle and shift into 2nd and occasionally 3rd the car backfires. What can cause that?

idk hot cams can feed a lot of fuel into ur engine and they can be more prone to running rich too. If you've got a good amount of timing advance and an off road pipe and all that good stuff you could have backfires. If you have a leak in ur headers too u can have backfires.

did the backfire start after any particular mod or just out of the blue?? New tune maybe?

Out of no where. I thought maybe i f up a valve.

okay..out of nowhere then is a sign it's probably NOT a mod. Something changed recently.

Is the backfire out of the tailpipe or the intake?
