Is the Mach 1000 that great?

RE: Is the Mach 1000 that great?
I have the mach 1000. I love it. I had other systems in the past and this is great. You don't have to tote around a faceplate anymore, the trunk looks insane for shows, and it sounds incredible. There is 4 amps on the rack, and I am pretty sure there are 2 more under the speakers in the back.. For you that have it, look under the trunk lid just under where the speakers in the back would be. I am pretty sure those are 2 more amps....could be seeing things though.
All in all, I would get the mach 1000. No worry system, with the benefits of having it all bolted to the car, and if someone wants to steal it they are really gonna have to work for it.

I have the 460, its alright. I want more bass though. Heres a pic of the 1000 someone posted on here when I asked about it though, just for reference to what people are talking about in placement of amps and subs. Looks ****ing sweet for a stock system. How much would it be to upgrade a 460 to a 1000?

I sat in a GT that had it once...
for whatever it cost on the sticker of a New GT,, im sure it wasnt worth it, but it still sounded alright
(wasnt it like a grand option????)
the 460 kicks alright, not bad at all for a stock sound system, but it isnt incredible.. however, I must agree that the mid-high range sounds good, and the bass is alright
if you find a GT you like, but it doens have the M.1000,, dont pass on it for that reason alone

Agreed.
The Mach460 is ok if your not a serious audiophile. Anything more than that though, and you'll wish you had more. I wasn't happy with the Mach460 in the GT I had, but I put up with it since I had it off 90% of the time anyway. I prefered listening to the exhaust sounds rather than the stereo.
