if its just a knock off of the bullet then probably not to much.

i would like to see them copy the LS6 intake, or somthing like the 3-valve intake for a two valve.

Cast aluminum manafolds should sell for 150.00-450.00 bucks period. Every 4.6 manafold out there is way over priced and for the gains most have I think I'll just stick with my PI intake. Not to metion it isnt even out yet........so here we are again another over price peice that isnt even out yet, seems to be the trend with the 4.6 stuff. And then we wonder why were all playing catch up to the chevy guys.
yeah really. Chevy stuff is cheap. The market is there for 4.6 i mean everyone has one so why isnt there already major heads and intakes out there and more competitive kits. An intake manifold should cost more than $200. You can get a good intake edlebrock intake for almost any pushrod motor for 2 to 3. Its a lack of supply when the demand is high so it shoots up the prices. How many ppl have paid 600 for those stupid typhoon manifolds. 600 for 10 hp? 600 could buy you an N20 kit! If someone (like edelbrock) came in and made a good solid alluminum 4.6 manifold for 250 or even 350 they'd own. We'd all have them becuase they are edelbrock and becuase they are so cheap.

Eldbrock does make a 4.6 manafold and it sux it is set up for a carb, apparently you would have to rig up your own elbow cuz they do offer it with injector bugs. They did this for those useing the 4.6 in a hot rod were a carbarator is easyer to use than F/I. There again just doesnt fit the mustang rep very well. Would should have a hellatious aftermarket. The 5.0 market took off like a rocket but the 4.6 market seems to be falling on its face with high prices and little gains. So......what we need is......some BIG *** AFTERMARKET HEADS, BIG *** INTAKES, BIG *** BORE BLOCKS, BIG *** CAMS, and at a resonable price. I will say the aftermarket for rebuilding the 4.6 with forged stuff is getting much better. I found a forged kit along with other stuff for super cheap the other day. It was almost as cheap as the 302 stuff. Oh almost forgot heres the link. http://forums.modulardepot.com/showthread.php?t=92066

Swapping to a bullitt intake won't gain much on a n/a car, unless you port the hell out of it. Stock vs stock a bullitt doesn't make much more power (5~) or torque than any other stock 99-04 GT.

The real advantage is FI. I have seen claims of 25-30 WHP with a stock bullitt intake on a FI car.

The 2v PI intake is acutally a fairly good piece for a boltons only n/a car. This is why there hasn't been alot of companys making them, and why the gains are less than stellar when the aftermarket intakes are put on a basically stock or light boltons only car.

You will probably never see a 200 dollar intake for a 4.6L. Supply and demand here. You have to understand that the SBC intakes will basically fit on any 350. There are simply too many to count out there, and when you can sell thousands a year you can sell it cheap.

Just a side note, but from what I have seen aftermarket LS1 intakes are not that cheap, just the LS6 stocker swaps people do. I don't think you can find a new aftermarket intake for a LS1 for anything close to 300 bucks.

What kind of modification is required to put a Bullitt intake (or this new Bullitt-like intake) on an already FI'd 4.6?

I'm assuming the plumbing between the MAF and TB is the only difference, correct?

Looks like on this intake it is setup to take the stock bolt setup of a 99-04 GT. Its a bad angle, but it looks like a square setup to me, which means a single blade T/B. In other words, looks like your T/B will bolt right up. You won't need a plenum with this intake.

The bullitt requires it's own t/b, and I don't think the rest of the intake tract will boltup to a bullitt t/b, but I could be wrong. Also, getting a bullitt is hard and expensive. I have seen em going for 1000+

Actually Edlebrock does have a Manifold for the mod motors 4.6.

Victor JR 4.6L SOHC EFI (up to 7500 rpm) Part #28385

Last time I called them, it was still in engineering mode. That was earlier in the year though. I was hoping for manufacturing mode, lol.

And this is where everyone who likes them, also is making over 400hp..

This was a point I was going to bring up.. Most of the people who ask about the intake, don't have REAL power, or any plans to bring REAL power to the table... No wonder why people bitch about the intake not being worth anything.. They're not in the market, or have a car w/ enough nut to benefit from it...

This part I don't necessarily agree w/ though. I believe there's plenty of supply and demand; at least for parts FOR cars that aren't as high Powered as others.. I guarantee that if a company came out w/ an intake that gave XXhp/xxft/lbs Tq under 5200RPM, that cost under $800, most of the kids on here would scrape up money to get one..

Since there isn't, why not just stick w/ the stocker??
