High compression or low

High compression or low
Well with winter coming (its snowing outside right now) and me started to work full time as a FF here in a few months im going to put the old girl to sleep and start to spend some cash. My engine is dying and i am too scared to race on it anymore as it has upwards of 125k + on it so its time for me to start thinking about engine upgrades. I want a stroker. Im a stroker guy and no one is going to talk me out of it. I need a new short block with forged internals so might as well go with the 5.1 stroker. Im going to rip the stangs heart apart, send the heads in to be P&P, get new cams and intake, and then do all the suspension and interior work (tubular k-member, full coil overs, adjustable steeda sway bars, 18" rims, corbeu race seats, 6 point roll cage) Looks like ive finally chosen my tranny. B&M Ford AOD. Its a three speed w/ OD so itll be perfect with my 4.10's or i might even be able to get away with 4.56's. But anyways i want to put a 200 shot direct port on the 5.1 so ill around 500 at the wheels maybe a little more or less but heres the poll: Should i go with a major high compression in the stroker kit so ill have massive power up front or go with a mid to mild compression so i can throw on a vortech later but have no power up front. High compression= 560 or more rwhp (with no future of FI) Low compression= 490ish rwhp (with possibility of FI in the future). With FI in the future ill beable to push around 600ish rwhp but i may never do FI. Idk

If you're just going to run nitrous, you can go higher on the compression. If you plan on upgrading to a blower later, keep the compression low.
Personally, I'd go about 8.5/1. You can still run nitrous just fine on that compression and then later you can put on a supercharger/turbocharger and not have to worry about boost issues.

Ya thats what im leaning more towards too. Like we all do, im going to get bored of the 500 is rwhp and want to F/I when all my cobra buddies are doing 600 rwhp and still walking me [&:] and im gonna get pissed and go get a good centri with meth injection and push another 120 horses or so out of it.

Like go with a blower from the start? Well with fully forged i can run a 100 shot just fine. Or get a two stage kit. But either way with a nw manifold a direct port kit is the best bet IMO

Eh, it doesnt really matter what you go with first. Its really more like "what do you want?" With a built motor, why not go with the blower first? You can set the boost at pretty much any level and not have to worry about destroying a piston or rod. Hell you could run safely at 20 psi. I dont recommend it, but you could.
Also if you do the motor/supercharger combo, you will see more than 500 rwhp.

eh yeah. Dont know if i can afford to do like a KB 2.2 with as much as the rest of the buildup is going cost i probably only be able to get a Vortech or the like plus i want to keep my Ported 75 mm TB & UI i already paid for haha but i can push 14 or 16 psi out of that blower safely.

Then again . . . a KB 2.1 bigbore utalizes the stock TB and with a 14psi pulley makes 262 rwhp and 229 rwtrq. That'd be around 600 rwhp or so, with a meth kit and some 60 lbs injectors. A 100 shot may be pushing it. Idk. Do they have pulleys to make a vortech or the like go to 14+ psi?
