why not just use the same soap and water that you used to wash the car? works good for my rims. and why would you ever use windex for rims? ive never heard of that. im not bashing you...just wondering.

You'll be fine. The paint on the rims is strong enough that it won't do anything in the short amount of time you had it on. I hope you washed it off though. If it sits on there, it could do some damage.
