I bought shorties....
I will tell you this, I wasted my money, pay the extra for the LT's and get a decent shorty X or H... the choice between X and H dosn't really matter except for sound

I will be installing longtubes and a shorty O/R prochamber and the shorties are just going to collect dust

With those bolt ons, you might pick up around 15rwhp.

the x pipe actully does make differnt power at differnt rpms as opposed to the h pipe

i got bbk long tubes bbk off road h and flowmaster weld ins.

sounds great morbid intentions can verify that he heard it at a local show and the power is awsome for 1200 bucks cant go wrong

The differences are so minor the only way you can tell is a dyno.

Pick your midpipe and catback according to what sounds good to you.

+1 on the longtubes. Unless the car is FI stick with the stockers or go with LTs/midlengths.

thanks. but the thing that helped the most was the slicks. the slicks alowed me to come out at 5000 rpm. i might go to the track this sat. if i do ill take a vid of the inside of my car while going down the track because people donot belive me when i say i launch at 5k with slicks but hey it got me a 13.7 and nextyear im going for a 13.00 with a few more bolt ons. like tb/plenum, JLT RAI, underdrive pullies short throw, timing adjuster, and maybe 4.10s if the money is there

LT's arent worth the trouble from what I hear. You have to all but remove the motor to install them and a shop (Dallas Mustang) quoted me $575 to do it + the headers. You gain what, 15whp? Weaksauce. With a 2V GT, do a cat-back for the sound, and be happy with it. If you want to go fast, get forced induction.
