so a centri is better top end over a kb. i never knew that. so freeway rolls are more efficent with 2000gts set up.. now that is why he dished out a good race against the supra? would more boost have given him that extra pull on the supra if he had it?

and when you say the centri in a way spools up, would i still be getting a good amount of power , and more noticable over stock- off the line?
an example if i launched on the dig around 3500rpms with my d/r's would the boost and s/c be feeding me power already..??

I can't believe a guy on streetfire thought the guy driving a Supra had a pillow on his head? LOL., it's called a passenger headrest., geez. But yeah, awesome video, and well done. A good example of how American muscle shines on the streets at low speeds. BTW your car sounds great too.

Save your money boys, I'm saving mine. As for the race, Mustangs just don't have quite the highway power that other cars do. Mustangs as everyone know are naturally drag cars, as most muscle cars are. However, you can build your stang to demolish all, its just about the way you build it. A stage2 set up with forged bottom will giv eyou the rpm's necessary to really blow to hot numbers (600+hp). Ofcourse you can always do the twin turbo route. That will make up for some lost highway ability, but in doing that you may want to go back to your long gears. Theoretically your top end with the gears my car has (97 gt 5 sp) my top end is somewhere around 230mph. Just wish i had the downforce and power for that... stupid getting light above 115.

I make more power on a MUSTANG dyno at 3000 RPM than I did at ANY point before that on a DYNOJET.

For reference, a mustang dyno reads about 10 percent less than a dynojet.

I don't really start making alot of boost until 3500 RPM, but even as low as 2900~ I am making 2~ PSI, which is enough to make the car run better than ever before.

Wow, that's still sort of high for a Supercharger.. I guess I never realized that Centrifugal S/Cers build boost that slowly...


Is it a gradual build up on the way?? Or does it just dump Torque on you around 3500?? I'm assuming the gradual build...

What's the max possible boost for the Vortechs?? Rather, what's the max airflow for them, if you know that off hand??

I think you have that one backwards. A girl at my work, her boyfriend has a bitchin' supra. Say what you want but I have spoken with the guy.... Single turbo with a front mount and exhaust. Its pushing 460hp. It takes a **** ton of money to get a 2v GT to 460HP.... His is an auto too so it launches a bit better. I was trying to sell him on the idea of a high stall convertor but he was more worried about painting his car and replacing the headlights
