i got the old bullitt rims lying around in the garage im looking at all these mustangs with bullits but black im thinking aboutt painting mine? how do you think it would turn out.. and kinda special paint i might need to use let me know guys..


and these rims would be for the winter not letting my nice cobra rims go

Refinishing the wheels is a bit more involved than spray paint... At best, you need to remove the existing finish, then add your own. Powder coating would be a good choice.

best way to do it would be to sandblast the rims... then primer, base paint, clearcloat it..

It would be really easy. Just sand them down a little bit, hit them with some primer, a bunch of coats of glossy black, then clear coat. I would do it if I were you, it would be a fun cheap project. I plan on painting my stock wheels black.
