My cluch squeeks

My cluch squeeks
Ok- Im driving hard, letting the Rpms rise up fairly hard, and shift it fast into the next gear.
When I spring off the clutch i hear a "cheeeeeep" like its slipping for a split second on a hard shift.
Does anyone elses do this?

Yep...Ford should be ashamed of themselve for building such a crappy car. My THROWOUT bearing makes a squeaking noise...and i think that's what your talking about....As soon as i put my feet lightly on the clutch the noise stops....I'm really angry about that...My wife old Hyundai has over 120,000 miles on it and she hasn't had any problems with her transmission...and i've had all types of problems with our mustangs.

That's exactly what it is. It makes a high-pitched squeal until you press the clutch pedal, and it's always worse when the car is cold. At least it was for me. The part is only about $35 to replace, but you have to drop your exhaust and transmission to get to it, so it's a pain in the *** process for a small part that takes about 10 minutes by itself to replace.

Mine is making kind of a dry whirring when the clutch is engaged in neutral... sounds fine when I put the clutch in. I checked trans fluid, and it's full... I wouldn't call this a squeal, but maybe that's what I have to look forward to as it gets worse. Woohoo, Ford!
