Quick question: You need an MIL eliminator if you have an O/R midpipe correct?

wait wait wait, i thought if you have mils, it just corrects your computer into thinkin your cats are intact, otherwise your car will run rich, now with that said if you have mils it doesnt do what a cat does, in that it controls gasses in your exhaust. how does an mil control that???/ i may be wrong, but somebody explain this to me, i have a tuner and live in the south so i dont have to worry bout emissions

MIL's work by sending your computer a made up reading of the exhaust gases. Your O2 sensor sends a number to your ECU which tells your car whether to run lean or rich based off of the reading the o2 sensors pick up. MIL's basically have a electronic chip in them that has a reading in it that makes your car run stoich.

right and i understand that, but its not a cat, so it doesnt stop certain amounts of gasses through which will fail you in an emissions inspection

The rear O2 sensors compare to the fronts to see how well the cats are doing. They have nothing to do with the adjustment of the engine....unless the CEL comes on, then another flag alters your computer settings.

Mils will make you pass with the computer. Here they check the computer and under the car, but iff you got a hook up you can buy him some lunch and have you check under the car while he eats your mcdonalds you bought him
