Default let me get things straight

if i buy mils, and they turn my CEL off, then i will pass emissions?

they dont check under ur car here.

yes you will pass it. Mils make the computer think the cats are still intact.

Yes you will pass unless they check with a sniffer... it's un-likely they'll use it because of the year of your car. (96+ they just give it a visual inspection and check for engine codes)

okay, i just thought when they plug their thing in my car, their computer will see i dont have any cats.

would it be better to buy the steeda one, or what?

I couldn't recommend a brand because I never considered them... my personal choice is to just get a hand-held tuner and turn off the rear O2 sensors with that... don't have to worry about this failing (as MIL's tend to fail) and you get to enjoy the other benefits that come with a tuner, the ability to adjust your timing and fuel and such... It's Steeda or BBK for the MIL's... one sucked the other didn't, but I'm not sure which.

Pretty much, that's the average price it seems... you'll need two of them... if I remember right the BBK ones were better than the Steeda ones... don't hold me to that though.

I had the BBK ones for a couple of months before getting my tuner. I never had a problem with them, I recommend those.
