I am needing so information on the 2v 4.6L engine in a buddy's 2004 Saleen. It is a supercharged S281. It only has 10,000 miles on it, and he has blown up his second engine. From what I have seen and heard, the bottom ends on these are weak. True???? Anyway I need some information on internal engine specs etc. He wants to check rod, main bearing clearances, etc. Trying to find out what the deal is with this thing. Can any one help with internal specs????????????? Anyone know have, or know where I can look on the internet to find them? What is different about the internals, as opposed to a factory built 2v 4.6. Saleen does build the thing from bare block right? Any information would be great. Thanks.

umm that is for the s281e. a very different car compared to the regular s281. the s281 is the same motor as a regular gt, with a body kit and some other little stuff

He drives it hard yes, I don't believe that there has been any bolt on's done to it. That is what I don't understand. What is the rev limiter in the computer set at on these. Is it raised being a saleen? [8D]

if he put a pulley on there thats probably why i blew up my motor with 6lb of boost find out what his mods are

I will check into it and see if it had a pulley put on it. If he is not sure, is there a way to tell what it is? Diameter, or numbered?

i think if its the stock pulley saleen is engraved on it
