Default Will this get me 380-400 rwhp?

I have a 1997 Mustang GT, automatic with about 45,000 original miles. My current mods include: Slp longtubes, slp o/r xpipe, slp catback, 4.10 gears, bbk cai, accufab 70mm t/b and plenum, steeda udp's, shift kit...basically every bolt on you can do.

My next mods are going to be as follows, let me know if you think this will reach me to my goal of around 380-400 rwhp...

Vortech SQ trim Mongoose Kit with boostpipe (about 10lbs)

Complete PI swap ( no porting or polishing)

Stage 1 blower cams

Those are my plans for the winter coming up, do you think all of this installed will yield me what i am looking for, with a dyno tune of course?

That seems to be about what people are getting with PI heads, bolt on's and between 8-10 lbs of boost.

I would watch the boost after the PI swap because of the bumped compression. You might want to turn the boost down a little

I would say you should hit that. Ditto on the compression notice. Don't PI swaps end up with a little more CR than what is found in a facotry PI setup?

10.5:1 compression isnt the most boost friendly. i mean you could have the heads ported and get maybe half a point or use a thicker head gasket, then run the risk of blowing the gasket out. Your decesion.

well i was originally planning on getting a stage 1 port job on the heads from steen racing along with installing the blower and blower cams...but was told by some that might be pushing it with the limits of a stock block....Do you think i would be okay going with the mongoose kit with a boost pipe, a stage 1 steen racing port and polish PI swap package, and a stage 1 blower cam??

Link to the site, The max you want to go to is about 425-430 rwhp. Call them up and ask them about dropping compression on the shortblock with out a total overhaul. They are some pretty intellegent people

You also have to watch your piston to valve contact clearances. The 96-98 pistons come up higher than the 99+ pistons. I had a hell of a time just picking the right cams for my PI swap. I would say 6-8 psi of boost max w/ the sock bottom end.

Use a turbo insted and be there, only the 4.10 gears would not be good with a turbo, Im not shure this is what you want but to reach that power with minimal hassle I would turbo insted. Just my opinion. Oh Also I did only a PI intake swap you would be suprised what a difference just that made alone. That cams and your blower would make it I bet.
