Spark plugs stuck!

Spark plugs stuck!
So today I decided to take a look at my spark plugs after 46,000 miles and once getting the coil pack out, I never realized how deep in there the plugs are. This is not a problem but so much for trying to gap them. Anyway tryed to remove one with a little pressure nothing happened. Then I tryed a few more times with a little more torque until I was giving it quite a bit of force. Is this common? And ye I'm turning the plug to the left lol. Could I spray some wd 40 or pb blaster down there to try and losen things up or just hack away until it losens up?

RE: Spark plugs stuck!
should be a 5/8 spark plug socket, and a ratchet to accomdate, also a nice 9-12 inch extension makes it easy.
as far as cracking it loose, pull the ratchet to the left (counter-clockwise) most, and tap it with the palm of your hand a few times. 'crack it loose, but dont crack a plug' =)

I finnaly got it. I shot a spray or two of pb blaster down there, a couple light smacls with my palm and it gave. I wa pleasantly surprised that I have motorcraft platinums so i guess it will be a while before I need new plugs again. I did start it up to make sure the pb didnt do anything aand that I put the coil pack back on right.

Platinums wear out, too. I notice a difference in mileage and throttle response if I wait 25k to change mine. Don't believe that 100k mile tune up crap. It's a pipe dream and can destroy your coils.

i am going no longer then 15,000 miles inbetween plug changes. 10-15 bucks for plugs, its worth it too change them. but then again i tend to over do it some times. but i just want the best for my car.
