They run about 14.8 at 93 mph. Why not get a PI car? Even they have limitations a to what you can do with the 2v motors. They are a big leap from the 96-'98 though. My convertible should run about a 14 flat at 102 MPH! Thanks, mark

Questions are never dumb, but I suggest to bust out google.
98 GT's generally do mid-14 second 1/4 and trap at 93-95 mph.

Seriously, get a 99-04 GT. They cost more, but they look great (we got a 99 v6 here that has more than 70k on it and it still look and runs great). The V8's are way better than the 98 ones, and you'll get into the high 13's bone stock. Trust me, you will thank yourself down the line.

i would but heres my dilemma. im 17. my dad is a ****. i barely got away with my 01 v6 vert. i love the 99-04 body style to death, but i had to buy my own car as is. i bought it for 10,700 from some ****ty *** toyota dealership who didnt know what the effcakes they were talking about as far as price (they wanted 13,900 last summer, but my dad being a ford mechanic and an *******, came into to help me buy the thing at 8:30 when they closed at nine, and talked them down for 2 and ahalf hours to 10,700) with 42,900. i now just passed the 59,000 mark today and i figure if i sell it to the right dumb mid age woman i can get around 9,200. i have mach 460 6 cd, leather, all power, the car is impeccable, washed and waxed every other weekend atleast. but 9,200 isnt gonna get me a 99-04 gt 5 spd. so i guess ill take what i can get and buy 4.6 98 or so. im only gonna have the car for summer and then sell it and go off to college. i just really wanna smoke half the ricer scene around here, which is huge. every other car is a civic with tips or eclipse gs lol.

+1...... But you can always get Nitrous :-)

Or be like one of the guys back in Killeen I know..... He's got a V6 stang twin turbo. Thing is running 11s in the quater! Now she sounds like complete utter DO-DO compared to my car but she's fast.
