Put your rev limiter back. You have no need to move it. Mostly stock Mustangs like yours stop making power around 5750. If you hit that limiter to many times with your stock internals it could be bad news for you.

edit: unbolted exhaust? If thats what I think it is thats getto. Put it back and buy some flows at least.

Thats not really tuning it lol. You cant really tune it yourself without the racer package from SCT, or whatever is equivalent with the predator. Tuning it is adjusting fuel delivery, maf settigns all that good stuff. Really need that racer package, wideband o2, and a data logger to tune it yoruself. I dont think you can really hurt your car with a handheld tuner being NA. Might not run good if you **** the spark up, but i doubt it wold really hurt your car.

The stock canned tune that comes with the Predator is LAME! You have the option to increase the timing 10% from 2K -4K and 4K and up. If you read the booklet closely you will see you are raising the timing 10% over the stock tune. The stock tune at 4K rpm's calls for 10*, Brenspeed sets the 4K rpm spark at 23*. The stock 5K rpm timing calls for 16* and Brent sete his 93 octane custom tune for 24*. You aren't goiing to huet your motor raising the timing 10%. In fact you can do what I did and add a steeda timing adjuster to the Predator tune. I ADDED 6* on top of the Predator's 10% increase and got no knock. Could probably have gone 8* more. Now that I have a custom tuned SCT from brenspeed I no longer need the timing adjuster so if anyone is interested PM me for details. The one area you need to be careful with is the fuel. I would not lean it out much or at all.
When you finish your mods get a Brenspeed custom tune SCT tuner. Brent gives you 3 distinct tunes for 3 octane ratings based upon your mods. I have an 87 and 93 tune along with a race fuel tune where I run 100 octane unleaded fuel. I would not get the custon tuner until you have completed your mods. Mark

I have heard a lot of bad things about the Diablo, but when it first came out everything thought that it was a god of all things to come out for the mustang, but now everyone is saying that they wished they would have gone sct. What is the big difference?? I wanna buy one too but i am scared to pick the wrong one.

First off, unless you understand every aspect of a tune, don't do it. All your going to do is end up possibly hurting your car.

Secondly, Get rid of that predator junk and buy SCT.

Third, have it professionally tuned (not an online package tune, those are never right), take it to a shop and have it done right.

Go to www.brenspeed.com and ask for brent. He is the owner and a great guy. He buys his SCT tuners blank, no canned factory tune. My Predator came with a LAME canned tune. It allows 10% increase in timing from 2K and to 8K. 10% sounds like a lot huh? Well it's 10% of the factory tune at any particular rpm above 2000. That means that 4ooo rpm's the factory computer calls for 10* of timing so you add 10% from 2K to 4K and what you get is 11* of timing at 4k rpm's. Then at 5K the factory tune calls for 16* at WOT and 10% brings the timing to 17.6*. Brent sets his 93 octane tune to 23* at 4K rpm's and 24* at 5K rpm's. Little bit of difference huh?! I added a STEEDA TIMING ADJUSTER on top of the Predator tune and added 6* and no knock. The Predator only adds the 10% at WOT whereas the Brenspeed tune or any SCT tune adds the timing across the entire rpm range. That makes the car more responsive at part throttle and will also help gas mileage.
Brent tunes each SCT to YOUR MODS.
You give him the mods and what octanes you want him to tune to as he does 3 CUSTYOM TUNES for the price of the tuner. No extra charge. He even took mine back to soften the 3-4th gear shift as it was too firm and deleted the 91 octane and replaced it with a 100 octane tune at no charge, nice guy! The SCT has more options for fine tuning. The Predator worked fine and even better with the timing adjuster but once I finished my mods it was time for a custom tune so I sold the Predator and ...well you know the rest!
Call Brent and ask him about the tuner and what he suggests and tell him Mark Sweet recommended him. He is a true gentleman. Thanks, mark
