Default exhaust vs mufflers

Kindda stupid but i just have the dynomax mufflers on my car and i was wondering should i replace that for the full catback system.... since exhaust is one of the most important upgrades, would it be worth the money to just throw my mufflers away and replace them with a 400 dynomax full cat??? will the HP will be that much difference or should i just invest my money in something else..?

no, since you've already got the mufflers, going with a cat back now would be a waste (for the 2 extra hp - at the high end - that you'd get).

i agree, if you ever upgrade the mid-pipe then i'd replace the stock cat-back piping though

Well a cat-back is always better than stock because of the true 2.5" pipe throughout, but since you already have the mufflers it's not enough to justify the $500 price tag the Dynomax cat-back costs. You could always get some universal pipe from Summit Racing and piece together the cat-back, which would be cheaper since you aren't buying mufflers. At least you'd get the bigger pipes.
