When i bought my car it was bone stock except for king cobra clutch and #24 injectors (kind of random mods if you ask me) but i drove it and it pulled a little harder than the other like year vert gt's then me and one of my boys at the Ford dealership look at the ECU and it had a Diablo custom cut chip on it. I gave it to one of my other friends with a 00 when i got the tuner but it was interesting. Guy had a king cobra clutch, 24# injectors and a diablo chip. It was an old dude too who was the original owner. Random stuff.

Sounds like a dumb question I know but I'm not the first owner so I guess it could be possible. Anyway as some of you know I've had some computer problems. Today I removed the stock computer and installed my "new" remanufactured puter that I got from Ford. Here's what it looks like....
Here's how the remanned computer looked out of the box (at the top of the computer)
The stock computer had the "chip" where the black plug SHOULD have been. Is that where aftermarket chips are usually plugged in?
I found a small piece of black plastic mounted to the top of the stock puter. I pulled it off and it says Hypertech. Since the fan was not running with the mew computer in I decided to swap it over onto the new comp. So, my question is, Is there a small black chip with the words Hypertech on every Ford EEC or did I have a chip and not know it? Cause if I did, I'm really disappointed in it. lol.
