got the nova painted
well my dad said he wanted to get the nova painted. and thats what we did. it looks great. the first picture is what it looked like before it got pained and now this is it with the flames and panted black. the last pic is with out the yellow.

thats 2 base coats of black, a mid coat clear, one layer of red, one layer of kandy red, one layer of orange, one layer of tangerine kandy, one coat of yellow, one coat of yellow kandy, and still have to do a coat of white, coat of peral and 3 coats of clear. so that is 13 layers of paint well on half the car

its really weird how they do it. all done by air brush. but the red was nasty looking then he put the kandy red over it and it went nuts. the came the orange and when he put that on you couldnt even see the red and my dad was pissed till he put the kandy on and you could see right threw the orange into the red. it is a real work of art when he does it. i will post more pics when the car is finished. i didnt know to put this in here or put this is off topic but im in here most so i said what the hell why not.

yeah. your right it is mean it has the paint job now to go with the engine. the engine is a 400 bored out to a 406. all keith black pistons, rods, cranks, has a 870 cfm carb on it and still asks for more. can pull the wheels 3-6 inches off the ground and tuns 11.80s all day long. i told my dad he has the motor now he just needs a paint job to go with it. i didnt think i would get this many posts in here tho.
