Default A good amount of money

whats up ladies and gents, I'm in the army and am getting my initial 10k bonus in a few days, and am leaving for iraq in a few weeks, and am gonna have quite a bit of money to spend on the stang which is a 03 GT. I'm already full bolt on + cams. I want to hear everyones opinions on what should be next. Not sure if I should just buy a cobra, go the fi route oor just get heads and other goodies. this is a dd and would idealy like about 400 rwhp. the floor is open...

new pistons and bottom end, then a massive super charger or twin turbo set up, and maybe a t-56 tranny to back it up.

Invest it all in a CD. When you get back from Iraq, youll have much more money. Make your money, make you money.

the CD idea is good, but if you're too impatient for that (like I would be) I would port and polish the heads, and have the internals swapped to get it ready for a blower setup, using dished pistons to lower compression. Good luck in Iraq and come back safe.

I thought the enlistment bonus was split in half. 1st half after Initial Entry Training and 2nd half on your 3rd year anniversary of enlistment date. Are you in the infantry and getting $20,000?

I would definately trade up for a Cobra with that bonus. Is 10k the going rate for the Army now, or did you get that off enlisting for a particular MOS?
