Blown GT 1/4 times
well time is coming around real quick to buy my car a christmas present .... sooo, I was wondering
1. which blower do you have
2. what are you running in the quarter
3. and why not what you dyno at to compare hp, even though im lookin to only go maybe 375 tops until i build up a different block
i know most of you guys are centrifugal superchargers. but does anyone have a KB on their GT? i wanted to try and get a comparison of the KB and centrifugal actual track times. I am leaning towards the 6psi KB for sure because it comes as a complete package all you need and then i can just get an even better tune a little later. that and hardly anyone has one which makes it more unique plus the bonus of it making boost at pretty low rpms. any objections, suggestions, and obviously statistics about your blown car are appreciated

2000 GT @ 10 psi
420~ whp and 410~ WTQ
No idea on 1/4 time.
On less WHP and WTQ (about 10) and about 300 bucks more in suspension, + slicks, MDvaldosta ran a 11.47. On drag radials an 11.97.

it seems like everyone ive seen and all of the articles i have read, there is nothing about quarter times, just hp. im would just really like to know the difference between the 2 but I am pretty set on the KB, does anyone on these forums have one on their 2v?

hey my long victor. How do you like the saleen?? is it worth the money, or would you have rather gotten the KB, or procharger

I don't know. I haven't started the project yet. I think it was well worth the money though. At first I was going for KB, but I bought the Saleen at 3400 from THR when they had one of there dicount sales going on. Straight outta the Saleen Factory they run for 4400. I figure a simlar KB 1.7 at the time would run me around the upper 4000s even low 5000s. So I decided to buy the Saleen and use the rest of the money saved in the suspension. From what I hear it is a good blower. Its a 1.5L Twin Screw and I'll be putting out at least 10 psi but I gonna try and push the numbers. With a few other bolt ons such as aBigger TB, 90MAF, 42lb Injectors, 2.8 pulley, my goal is to reach 400 rwhp. Alot of people say it can't be done but I'm willing to prove them wrong. Stay tunned for updates come some time in December

I like the K-B 6 psi kit also. If I get the cash that is what i am going with. No IC needed and runs that 6psi on 93 pump and like the thread starter said it comes complete and even with room to grow! mark
