Default Tuner ?

I am in the market for a sct xcal 2 tuner. I have one quick question. After I get my initial tune can I simply call up the vendor which produced the tune (brenspeed for example) and have them email me a new tune for whatever mod I am installing or would I have to run it on a dyno? Any people with first hand experience please let me know.

THankyou,

James

they usually come with three tunes on it already, thats as many as the sct can hold.

Well lets say I add a set of cams down the road, can I call them up and tell them and they email me a tune to download to the tuner or what?

I have wondered about this myself. Why spend $350 on a handheld, then have the car professionally tuned? Seems to me that a professional tune would end up being cheaper and MUCH better, if there are no additional benefits the handheld can provide.

Someone enlighten me...please!
