Good cars.
Expensive to modify, much like a Sn95 GT or 99-04 GT. You'll get much better bang for your buck, but as far as HP limits, you'll be in a similar boat as 2v GT's.

I've got a 97. Love it. Its black on black with a couple minor modifications. If you can afford it, I'd definatly reccomend it. I was between this car and an 01 gt, and I'm glad I got the little bit older cobra.

Well if im buying forged internals, do they make stroker kits for the 4.6s (sorry, 5.0 guy here)? And if so, is it worth it?
I was thinkin about just slappin some 3:73s, KB blower, and supporting mods on and be done with it. Probably gonna forge the internals first though, since they dont handle over 450.

If you are going to rebuild the bottom end (forged crank already, but doesn't really make a difference stock since the rods still blow ***) & put on a supercharger/nitrous - there really won't be much of a benefit of spending the extra bucks on a stroker kit. The torque/hp curve might be different and your numbers might be a little better with a specific pound belt - but you can save yourself some money and simply run more boost.
Some people exceed 450RWHP on stock 96-99/01 Cobra's, but they almost always end up with an empty engine bay for a couple months.
