I'd go for exhaust, gears will cost you more to get installed and its sometimes hard to find a place that will do it, plus you will need a tuner other wise your speedo will be off. I dont think gears are worth the troble at all, I know everyone on here will disagree with me though.

I disagree 100%. I'm pretty sure you aren't experienced with trying to get a 2v GT to run low 13's at the track. To get any worth while performance out of the car without a SC/Nitrous - Gears are absolutely a MUST have.
Also, there is another alternative to a tuner to fix the speedo. It's called a Dallas Speedcal or an Abbott Speedcal. Both can be purchased for under $100 bucks and are easily installed.

But are gears ok for like lil bit of drving out of the week? like on the gas or anything?well actually now that i think about it i got 11 miles to the gallon.. it sucked!

go for the gears i road in my friends old stang and wow was it a difference...4.10's are my next mod..seeif u know anybody can do it on the side cuz im getting my friends boss to do it for $100 and he builds race cars on the side so he knows his $&!%
