Guys, I came home from school today, bus, not car...I came home and went outside to start the car up for a bit. I get in, everything routine...And the car wont start. Just this awful clicking sound, and when I turn the key, my gauges redline and my THEFT light illuminates until the guages go back (about 2-3 seconds). The car just wont start. Clutch is in all the way. I checked the batt. It's fine...I have power to the doors, lights, aftermarket fog lamps etc..but no start. Just this rapid clicking noise!!!!

I need desperate help here! Can anybody tell me what's going on? Ever happened to anyone? I started it up yesterday just fine. But today...nothing.

Update...It seems like the engine is trying to turn over, but it's not. Can it still be the battery? Even thought the cabin lights come on and stuff?

I had the same problem yesterday dude. Same clickin noise and all its the battery garunteed

im probably wrong, but maybe it has something to do with your ground wires

So what did you guys do about it? My batt. is dead? I searched for a post on this and one guy seemed to have this problem. Somebody suggested pulling the negative off for a a bit and putting it back on? Good idea?

Might be battery you can pull it and have it tested at most auto part stores.
If that checks good then pull wire from started and clean it if you see corrosion sand it lightly with some sand paper.
good way to rule out those componets.

Should I try a jumpstart? I think that may be the problem.
