99-04 gts have knock sensors right? and the computer should learn that the engine is knocking/pinging and retard, right? i ask because i installed a 93 performance tune on my bullitt off a sct tuner and when the engine is under significant load(going uphill at 40 in 5th gear)i hear a kind of matalic sound, i know i never heard a matalic sound before the tune. i filled up with sunoco 94 oc to mix with the 1/16 tank of 87oc. i know i could hear noise through the manifolds but this is different.

no, 2v engines don't have a knock sensor. part of the lower cost equation. back off your timing

Well first off, going up hill at 40 mph in 5th gear is kinda stupid, 5th gear is just an o/d gear and 45 mph i really the lowest speed u should have it on on flat ground. Try putting it in a different gear and see if that helps anything.
