tranny swap

i want to do a tranny swap i can use the 5 speed out of a car i have now or get the one out of a gt, which i was woundering if the 5speed from the gt would bolt up to my 97 stang with the 3.8. i have a auto right now

I'm not really sure but I don't think that can bolt up to a 3.8.

Not sure either, but I'm pretty sure there is way more work involved than just bolting it up.
