Diablo Tuner did not work

Diablo Tuner did not work
I bought a used Diablo tuner from a member here and tried to use it last night and it did not work. When I was trying to save the factory tune, the tuner said to turn off the ignition, then it said to turn it back on. When I turned it back on the tuner said that the ignition was not recognized. The guy I bought it from said he put the factory tune back, and the tuner says the last written tune was a factory tun. I have a 2000 Auto GT. Does anyone have any sugestions.

RE: Diablo Tuner did not work
you have to have it programmed to your car/computer code...even if it was returned to stock unless you share the same ecu code i doubt it will work. Buying used handhelds are usually only good if you plan on getting a dyno tune. Now you have to have some base tunes sent to you from Diablo or a Diablo dealer and they will most likely charge you.

RE: Diablo Tuner did not work
I bought a used one a year ago or so and it worked fine. I bought it after a gear swap. Since then, I've moved from AZ where I could only get 91 octane to MD where I run 93. I've also changed tires/wheel sizes. I've played around with the timing and tire size several times. There were a couple of times where the tune didn't load. When I tried to reload it, it didn't recognize the computer and I had to start all over by reloading the factory tune. From there, start as if I was the first time you used it. That always worked for me.
